For our Google loving, largely nuclear-family-set-up generation, this ‘village’ can be invaluable. Paediatricians form an integral part of this circle too. We’ve been receiving messages from some of our readers asking us to put together a list of the best paediatricians in Powai. And at a recent offline event we did, several mothers reached out again, sparking this idea of putting together a resource guide for the neighborhood.
Most of us reach out to friends, neighbours, family when we’re looking for an important recommendation. Personal references and recommendations go a long way in giving us that reassurance that we’ve made the right choice. And that’s the approach we’ve used while putting together this list as well. It helped that a couple of us at Wellthinest are residents of Powai and moms too, so we’ve tapped into our own collective experiences. Additionally, we’ve also reached out to other moms, building WhatsApp groups, and local communities of parents and schools to put together this list.
This list reflects the paediatricians in Powai who are trusted and recommended by large numbers of parents (and kids!) alike. Of course you may want to do your own research and checks, and ask around in your social circle too. And it’s important to remember that what works for someone else, may not for you. But for someone who is new to Powai, or maybe for an overwhelmed new mum, we hope this will be a helpful resource.
Parenting can be overwhelming. Moving to a new city, or even a new locality that you don’t know much about can be overwhelming. Dr. Meena Narayan
One of the things that struck us the most when we were working on this resource guide was how much the moms love Dr. Meena Narayan! We had mothers reaching out to us specifically to share their amazing experiences with her.
